Swiss parliament is looking for a redefinition in some of their marijuana legislature next month. Even after voting against full legalization, the issues are still receiving attention from both sides, which prompted parliament to seek a compromise.
Swiss news site, The Local, reports that the main change sought is a reduced punishment for adults - people over 18 caught with 10 grams or less in their possession would be fined 109 francs (roughly $109) and avoid a court hearing. Minors would still be required to go before the court for possession.
The proposed changes have received both support and criticism; proponents say it is a fair resolution, but opponents wonder how police will be able to judge exactly how many grams a person has on them.
